Cookies on eventblok.com

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. The rules that matter here cover anything stored on your device, so this page also lists what is kept in local storage rather than in a cookie — the distinction is technical and should not change what you are told.

• Nothing optional is on by default. The banner has no pre-ticked boxes, and closing or ignoring it is not consent.
• Rejecting is one click, the same as accepting. Both buttons are the same size, side by side, on the first screen.
• No advertising, no profiling, no third-party trackers. Nothing on this site is shared with an ad network.
• You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

These cannot be switched off, because switching them off would break the thing they do. They are all first-party — set by eventblok.com, readable only by eventblok.com — and none of them identifies you to anyone else.

• eb-consent — a cookie recording the choice you made on the banner, so you are not asked again on every page. It holds the date of the decision and whether analytics is on. It lasts twelve months, after which you are asked again rather than assumed to still agree.
• eb-mvp1-settings — local storage holding the display settings you pick yourself: light or dark, accent colour, typeface, spacing, corner style. It exists so the site can honour a preference you set. It never leaves your browser.
• payload-token and payload-theme — set only for EventBlok staff signing in to the content system at /admin. If you are reading the public site, you will not have these. The session one lasts two hours.

The one optional thing here is Vercel Web Analytics, which counts how many people read each page. It is the only measurement tool on this site.

It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and builds no profile — it cannot tell one reader from another across visits. It is still off unless you turn it on. Being cookieless is a reason it collects little, not a reason to skip asking.

Until you accept it, the script is never requested at all. This is worth stating plainly because many banners load their analytics regardless and merely suppress the reporting; that is not what happens here, and it is a difference you can verify in your browser's network tab.

Stated explicitly, because "we value your privacy" above a list of forty ad vendors has made the claim worthless. None of the following is present anywhere on eventblok.com:

• No advertising or retargeting pixels of any kind.
• No Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any tag manager.
• No social media tracking pixels.
• No session recording, heatmaps, or scroll tracking.
• No cross-site tracking, and no sale or sharing of personal data with anybody.

If that ever changes, this page changes in the same release, and the banner asks you again rather than treating an old answer as covering a new question.

Every page has a Cookie settings link in the footer. It reopens the same panel you saw first, with your current choice shown, and you can change it as often as you like. Open it now.

One honest limitation: turning analytics off stops it loading from your next page onwards. A script already running in the current page cannot be un-fetched, so the change takes full effect when you next move around the site.

You can also clear cookies and site data for eventblok.com in your browser settings, which removes everything listed above. The site will then ask you again, and your display settings will return to their defaults.
